Kismet hOLISTIC CANINE THERAPIES
My name is Emma Butler and I am a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist and a Canine Conditioning Coach, based in Basingstoke, North Hampshire. More About Me.

Through Clinical Canine Massage I help to Rehabilitate Soft Tissue Injury commonly seen as lameness, limping or slowing down and I also help to provide natural Chronic Pain Management for orthopaedic conditions like Arthritis and Hip Dysplasia in Dogs. More About Canine Massage.

As a Licensed Canine Conditioning Coach I am able to provide a programme that uses specific, targeted and measurable core strengthening exercises and stretches that will transform your dog's core stability, balance and flexibility - providing strength from the inside out. More About Canine Conditioning.

I have trained with Natalie Lenton and the Canine Massage Therapy Centre for over 2 years in the use of 4 disciplines of massage : Swedish, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage, along with Myofascial Release. I have also been trained by Natalie herself in the Lenton Method, a set of direct myofascial release protocols, which have recently been involved in groundbreaking Clinical Trials at Winchester University. This means that I am able to provide over 50 techniques as part of an effective treatment plan.

I am fully insured, a proud member of the Canine Massage Guild, which ensures that I keep up to date with my training through Continual Personal Development, and a Canine First Aider.
About Me
My name is Emma and I live in Basingstoke with my husband and 4 Border Collies. I am a qualified Accountant and up until 2018 was very much embroiled in the 'Corporate World' with very little work / life balance.

I started doing Agility with my first dog, Max and remember being warned that it would become very addictive, how true that is! I also enjoy other dog related activities such as Rally, Scentwork and training in general. First and foremost, my dogs are my family.

Max retired fairly early from agility, partly due to my inexperience, resulting in lack of adequate warming up / cooling down and maintenance therapy treatments. I wanted to learn from my mistakes and ensure that my younger dogs were in the best physical shape to compete at agility. This is how I found myself on a Beginners Massage Workshop, held by the Canine Massage Therapy Centre. From there I booked myself on the Foundation Course at the Canine Conditioning Academy.

When I then came to the decision that I needed to make a career change, I didn't need to look any further than The Clinical Canine Massage Practitioner Programme and the Canine Conditioning Academy Licensed Coach Course.
But why Kismet holistic?
My dogs all have nicknames, actually several! One of Kestrel's nicknames is Kismet - meaning fate or destiny. Although I believe that we have to work for what we want, I also marvel at how life can take a turn. How things that we have no control over just happen. Kestrel was always destined to be my dog, she has been on this journey with me every step of the way and it was due to her hardworking, fun loving nature that I discovered Canine Massage. I often wonder where would I be without Kismet?
